At the heart of BCS is spiritual development starting in our PK 4 program. Our Biblical Worldview curriculum, as well as staff who demonstrate the love of Jesus, creates a “Jesus First” culture throughout the schools. Weekly Chapel services for all students also supports our spiritual focus, as well as Bible lessons throughout the elementary schools and Bible class for middle and high school students.
BCS provides a variety of sports for all three seasons for boys and girls in middle and high school. Any high school sport we don’t offer, a co-op has been created with John Bapst High School so that our student athletes can still participate. We also have a Pee Wee program for our elementary students.
BCS provides students with Fine Arts electives at the high school level. Elementary students participate in weekly Music classes that include performances at Christmas and in the spring. Middle and high school students can participate in Chorus, as well as be part of our Worship Team. They also can sign up for our Media/Tech class. Additionally, we have a Drama Program that includes a Spring production.
Students at BCS have a variety of spiritual, academic, social, and discipleship opportunities to engage in throughout their time at BCS. Students can join Bible studies, participate in community service projects, and support school-wide Christian initiatives. “All for God” is our motto and is at the heart of all we do at BCS.
Academics at BCS consist of high expectations and standards that promote excellence in all areas. Students are challenged and supported in a way that helps them be the best student they can be, as well as the best disciples they can be here and beyond.
Bangor Christian Schools has a long history of hosting international students from all over the world. Many return to their native countries upon graduation from BCS, while others choose to remain and attend colleges in the United States.
