Bangor Christian Athletics offers multiple athletic opportunities for elementary students:
5TH GRADE: Participation in the middle school program is currently available to athletes in the 5th grade. 5th grade families are able to choose between the middle school season with daily practice and game schedules or the lighter Peewee program, with Athletic Director safety and preparedness input. 5th grade students participating in middle school athletics have opportunities to compete at the A, B, and sometime C level in the Penobscot Valley Middle League.
FALL SOCCER
Fall (and occasionally spring) soccer programs are offered to boys and girls in grades K4-5th. The purpose of the program is to teach fundamental skills and rules of soccer and to have fun. Each team practices one day per week and have several "game days" through the season. Groups are separated by grade and are volunteer coach/parent led.
WINTER BASKETBALL
Peewee basketball is offered to boys and girls in grades K4-5th in 8 total sessions. It starts after the middle school and high school basketball seasons are complete and prior to softball/baseball in the spring, usually late February and March. The purpose of the program is to teach fundamental skills and rules of basketball and to have fun. Each team practices one day per week and have several "game days" through the season. Groups are separated by grade and are volunteer coach/parent led. Our goal is to establish an environment which encourages every player to leave the gym wanting to play more.
WINTER CHEER
Peewee Cheer is offered to girls in grades K4-5th in 10 sessions. It starts after the middle school and high school cheer seasons are complete, usually late February and March. The purpose of the program is to teach fundamental skills and rules of cheer and to have fun. The group meets twice a week and prepares a final routine for a friends and family showcase at the end of the season.
