  6. From Peggy Sherwood: I want to thank all the students and parents who participated in the 7th Annual Clynk Program. This program allowed us to collect an extra .50¢ per Clynk bag.  For this quarter we will receive $400.00 and this will go into the teacher’s class supply fund.  Please continue to fill-up the Clynk bags, and also ask friends and family who don’t return their returnables to collect them for you.  If you have any questions please contact Peggy Sherwood at Clynk bags can be picked up in the Elementary and Middle School Offices. Remember for every Clynk bag filled your student earns a free dress down pass.

  9. Need to report a student absence/tardy? For your convenience there is now an absentee form on this website that will email all your students teachers and the office to let them know your student will be absent/tardy! Click here.
  10. When ordering yearbooks from TreeRing, please make sure that you choose the yearbook you want, either MS/HS or Elementary. The price of the elementary book is $10, so if you are charged more the wrong book will be ordered.
Due to the difficulties in ordering Elementary and MS/HS yearbooks, I have put some steps together that will help. Part of the problem has been that the Elementary yearbooks have their own passcode. Please follow these steps to order your Yearbook:
    1.  Orders can not be done on mobile devices. It has to be laptop or desktop with Adobe.
    2.  Register with using the passcode for the yearbook you are ordering.

         High School/Middle School 101289583783994
    3.  If you are still having problems, call tree ring at 877-755-8733
They assured me that they will walk you through it. Hopefully this helps. If need more assistance please email Mr. Lowe at

Pee Wee Basketball 2018!

For years Pee Wee basketball has been held on Saturday mornings, during the winter months. We'd gather together, do a couple drills, and end with playing short scrimmage games. Although there isn't anything wrong with this approach, my biggest concern is that in the midst of providing a great atmosphere to run, play, and burn off the excess energy all kids have, we weren't focusing enough efforts towards what will eventually change the face of the BCS basketball programs....the fundamentals.

With that being said, I'd like to try something different this year in regards to our PeeWee Basketball program. I'd like to hold sessions after school on Fridays from 3:00-4:15.The whole time period will be devoted to ingraining the basic fundamentals of the sport into the core of our young student-athletes. My hope is that this will be an easy transition for those who attend BCS as their children will already be on campus, and this also frees up everyone's schedule on Saturday mornings!

Click here and you will find a registration form along with the Friday dates for your child's age group.

Go Patriots!

529 Plans for Tuition

Part of the new tax bill that was passed before Christmas was a change to 529 savings accounts. Previously, parents could open 529 savings accounts only for college tuition. Now parents are allowed to use the savings accounts for private K-12 education as well.

It might be to your advantage to look into this. You can speak to your bank, accountant, or financial advisor to determine if this program would be beneficial for you.

Moms in Prayer International - Bangor

Moms in Prayer International is a prayer ministry with the goal of having every school and every student covered in prayer.  We meet weekly to pray for one hour and we use the ACTS prayer format and one accord prayer. We focus heavily on praising God for Who He is and asking Him for "big" things for our kids and schools.  We have a couple of groups going right now and are always looking for more group leaders.

Right now we meet on Tuesday mornings from 7:30 to 8:30 at thre radio station conference room and will be starting up a group which will meet 5:30 to 6:30 pm on Sundaynights. (Starting Sunday, September 10th).

We are also planning a moms in prayer informational to be held on October 7th from 9am to 11am at Glenburn Evangelical Covenant Church.

For more information they can contact the Penobscot area coordinator which is me, Cindy McDonald at 852 4497 or on facebook messenger or email at  They can also go to for more information and encouragement.

Parents and Students please help Bangor Christian Schools earn extra money by participating in the Clynk Recycling Program. For every Clynk bag you bring to participating Hannaford Supermarkets, our school earns $3.00. Teachers will have the Clynk bags and envelopes for each student and family who choose to participate. When your bag is full please return it to any participating Hannaford at the Clynk Drop-Off Centers. Then return the Clynk envelope with the student’s name on the envelop to their homeroom teacher.  They will receive a dress down pass to be used at a later date.

Each teacher will have a Clynk folder.  When a student returns a Clynk envelop, with the student’s name on it, the teacher will then place the envelop in the Clynk folder that I provided. On a weekly basis I will check the Clynk folders and check off every time a student returns his or her envelope. I will then give the teacher the dress down passes their students have earned. Students cannot dress down until they have their Clynk dress down pass.  Every time the student returns their envelope, with their name on it, the student earns a free dress down pass. I will be replacing  Clynk bags in the teacher’s folders and have more Clynk bags at the elementary and middle school offices. If you have any questions please contact Peggy Sherwood at
