HS Seniors! Important Information about Graduation!

Dear Seniors, Parents, and Guardians,

Senior marching practices will begin Monday, June 3, under the direction of Mrs. Lori Obey.  Work schedules and all other appointments or conflicts must be arranged around these times.  Please be on time to every practice. Practices are mandatory!  Ladies must wear the shoes they will be actually wearing at graduation to every practice.    The practice schedule is below:

                                                                Monday                 June 3                    12:30 – 2:00

                                                                Tuesday                 June 4                    12:30 – 2:00

                                                                Wednesday           June 5     12:30 – 2:00   (if necessary)

Ladies:  You must wear a dress that meets dress code length under your gown – halter dresses are not allowed – modest sundresses that do not reveal cleavage are allowed.  The ladies must wear WHITE dress shoes.  Dress shoes do not include sneakers, white beach type sandals or flip-flops.  ALSO, do not wear really high heels – they are difficult to march in.

Gentlemen:  You must wear a collared WHITE dress shirt with a dark color tie (no bowties), solid black dress pants, and solid black dress shoes with black socks.  Your hair must be in dress code and you must be clean-shaven.

Anyone that is out of graduation dress will not be allowed to march at graduation.

Caps, gowns and honor cords will be used at marching practices and will remain at the school until graduation.  If a student needs to have his or her gown for a baccalaureate program – he or she must get permission directly from Mrs. Boone – the gown will need to be returned the following school day.

Graduation is on Friday, June 7 at 6:30 PM.  Seniors should arrive by 5:45.  Once you are here for graduation night and your cap and gown are on, you MUST stay in the room assigned (Crosspoint Cafe).  You are not to leave the room until it is time to march down the aisle.  Parents and friends may come to the room to take pictures if need be.   Each family will have a center isle row reserved for graduation.  The valedictorian and salutatorian’s families will have front row seating.

If you have any questions please contact Mrs. Boone.

Sincerely,

                                                                       Martha Boone
