After School Program Information
Bangor Christian Schools to please to offer an after school program on campus. The after school program is located in the brick building, downstairs. Children in the elementary building will be lined up at the end of the day and escorted across the parking lot by a teacher to the late duty location. Students in Middle School and High School must sign themselves into late duty no later than 3:00. Students are not to be on campus at any time if they are not accompanied by an adult. Students are not allowed to wander the campus and must get verbal permission from late duty staff if they need to leave the area for any reason. Students may not sign themselves out; all students must be signed out by a parent or guardian. Hours of operation are 3:00pm to 5:15pm on regular school days. (This program is also offered on early release days starting at 12pm, except for the early release day of Christmas Break.)

THERE IS AN ADDITIONAL FEE FOR BEING LATE (AFTER 5:15) $5.00 for every 15 minutes.
Please note that these additional fees will be added to the regular fee for that day. If you are continually late then your student(s) will be asked to leave the program.
Students are to follow normal school rules and the rules that are posted by the late duty staff. If students do not follow these rules, then their parents may be called to pick them up early. If the student(s) have repeated issues with following the rules, then they may be asked to leave the program. Please review the student handbook and the rules on the following page with your student(s).
Rules for Late Duty
These rules are put into place to ensure the health and safety of ALL our students.
- Safe hands please. Hands are for "High fives" and handshakes.
- Kind words only.
- Indoor voice inside.
- Quiet while someone else is speaking.
- Ask for permission before leaving your group (MS/HS students must get a pass) and ensure you have a verbal answer from staff.
- Should a disagreement arise among students and it cannot be resolved in a respectful and timely manner, ask a staff member for help.
- Food can only be eaten in the kitchen. Wash your hands before you leave the kitchen as we have students with severe allergies.
- If a staff member asks you to do something, please do it.
- Doors to the play room and office are to remain open at all times.
- All students must sign in.
- If you bring an electronic toy/device (iPod, iPad, DSi, cell phones) please use them appropriately. BCS is not responsible for these items.
